XYMotion CEO Mentors Entrepreneurs at Longmont Startup Week

With Longmont Startup Week events happening all week, our CEO - Davin Burke - mentored young entrepreneurs and volunteered to help grow the Longmont Startup community as a true reflection of the #givefirst mentality of Colorado entrepreneurs. The DailyCamera featured Davin in an article about Longmont Startup Week:

Due to the uncertain viability and sustainability of the STEM fields and the U.S. manufacturing industry, XYMotion is constantly trying to encourage our youth to get more involved and excited about hardware. With that, we support our local Makerspace - TinkerMill - and have partnered with local colleges to develop a conduit for Colorado engineering talent.

The end of Longmont Startup Week occurred at Left Hand Brewery's inaugural ROCKmont event on June 11th at Roosevelt Park here in Longmont. We brought the ForkCrane to the festival to showcase the innovation happening in the Longmont Startup ecosystem. Being a beer festival, we felt it only fitting to crush beer cans (very precisely) with our industrial robot. The simplicity and safety of use was evident when a 5 year old spent an hour enjoying the aforementioned precision placement of the can crusher (a 300 lb. plastic injection mold).

In the end, with cutting-edge programs like BASIC and the efforts of like-minded companies and executives (like Noel Ginsburg with Intertek Plastics), we hope to lead the nation in revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, especially in advanced industries.
